Your child's guide to 'Learn & Play'
Hi! I'm Megan
Hello, families! I was born and raised in Sandy, Oregon, and I bring a rich educational background with a Bachelors degree in English Literature/creative writing from Simpson University and partial Masters in Education. With experience in in-home daycare and as a teacher’s assistant, I am also a proud mom to three wonderful kids. What sets our daycare apart is its personal touch. Our program is designed to feel as at-home as possible, with a focus on learning about our design and purpose through the lens of the Bible. When I’m not guiding the little ones, you might find me outdoors, writing, or indulging in my love for cooking.
Finding someone to entrust with your child’s early years is a significant decision, and Megan, the heart behind Happy Day Care, makes it an easy one.
- Expertise and Commitment
Holding an English degree and presently advancing her studies in early childhood education, Megan is not just another daycare provider. She is a dedicated educator who treasures every moment with your little ones.
- Mother's Insight
As a mother of three, Megan recognizes the joys, challenges, and responsibilities of parenting. This personal touch ensures your child feels not just cared for, but truly understood.
- Guided by Faith and Health
A devout Christian, Megan’s principles extend beyond just education. Her commitment to healthy living means your child will be nourished both mentally and physically. The meals provided are not only tasty but also wholesome.
- A Caring Heartbeat
Megan’s warmth and love are tangible. She believes that every child, irrespective of their background or temperament, deserves to be seen, heard, and cherished. It’s not just her job, it’s her calling.
Our Philosophy
At Happy Day, our emphasis is on relationships and connection. We believe that every child is unique, and our approach is child and play-centered. Our teachings are based on inquiry and research, but more than that, they are grounded in the love and teachings of the Bible. We believe in the importance of outdoor play, exploration, and encouraging children to ask questions. Our goal is to provide a foundation for learning, including core math concepts, language, and literacy skills. We actively incorporate cultural diversity and inclusivity in our teachings and celebrate our shared beliefs and values. With a blend of Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies, we offer a comprehensive and adaptable environment where every child thrives.
